5 Local Restaurants I’m Thankful For.

Updated: Mar 2

The only emotion I feel with a frequency is hunger. There are a few food favorites that I absolutely could not live without during the pandemic.

For good Chinese food with good portion size and reasonable prices visit China House at 11247 St Charles Rock Rd, Bridgeton, MO 63044 on Monday – Thursday from 11am to 10pm and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 11pm.

For some fresh, royal treats from a Black owned bakery, visit Pharaoh’s Donuts at one of two locations at 202 N 9th street St. Louis, MO 63101 and 8 Maryland Plaza Street, MO 63108 every day from 6am to 3pm.

For even better Chinese food and made by St Louis’ Black Owned Chop Suey, visit Lefty’s Fried Rice at 3000 South Jefferson Avenue, Saint Louis, Missouri 63118 on Monday – Saturday from 11am to 8pm.

For calzones big on flavor and size, visit Sauce on the Side at 7810 Forsyth Blvd St. Louis, MO 63105 on Monday – Thursday from 11am to 9pm, Friday – Saturday from 11am to 10pm and Sunday from 12pm to 8pm

For a bakery with old time favorites, visit Kruta Bakery at 300 St. Louis Road, Collinsville, IL 62234 Tuesday – Friday 6am to 5pm and Saturday 6am to 3pm. When you go do yourself a favorite and go early to buy a “Fudgie” (picture to the left).

Now that you’ve got a small sample of my favorites, be sure to follow to my page on Instagram and look out for the upcoming giveaway featuring some local St. Louis businesses!

Let me know when you visit one of the establishments listed above!
